Can the world be fed in a sustainable way? FoodFirst Conference
To feed the world's growing population, global agriculture will have to double its food production by 2050. Can the world be fed in a sustainable way? Are there ecological solutions available in alternative to intensive agriculture and fertilizers? How can applicable standards for sustainable food production be created? How can efficiency and productivity of food production be reconciled with sustainability and protection of the environment?
These and other compelling issues about sustainable food production will be addressed during the FoodFIRST conference on 'Food and Sustainability', which will take place on May 8, at the Floriade Center, Venlo (The Netherlands)
The event - part of FoodFirst Floriade series - is organized by FoodFIRST coalition in partnership with Roundtable WorldConnectors, and will take place in the inspiring location of Floriade in Venlo, the world horticultural expo, which will be open and free of charge to the conference guests.
