It results from a SID study funded by the Open Society Inititiave for Eastern Africa aimed at better understanding the status of youth in Uganda. The research reviewed existing policies and interrogated whether they were responsive to the current needs of youth in Uganda who form the largest percentage of the population.

The 42nd session of the Commtte on Food Security (CFS42) took place from 12 to 15 October at the FAO headquarters, in Rome. The CFS is an intergovernmental body that meets every year (since its establishment in 1974) mandated to review and follow-up policies concerning world food security including production and physical and economic access to food.
The Right to Food and Nutrition Watch 2015 was launched at FAO Headquarters in Rome, unveiling key findings around nutrition and the impact of business operations on food policies. Welcoming its release, representatives from across civil society, social movements and the United Nations came together to exchange views about current approaches to nutrition.
