HUMobs
Welcome to HUMobs: the SID Mobility Forum Space!
WHAT? You are probably wondering what HUMobs is for…Well, Humobs is neither a robot nor an alien! It simply is the new SID interactive space for information sharing and reflection on human mobility.
You just need to read us, and if you like, to cooperate with us by commenting and proposing controversial issues and topical questions on human mobility in Africa.
WHY? We are not sure how many spaces like this already exist, probably many! however, what we definitely know is that mobility is a very controversial issue that needs more discussion and reflection than it already exists.
Lack of shared information and reiteration of common senses and conceptual constraints risk to jeopardise our capacity – as a modern society – to raise knowledge and inspire coherent action in our private and public life.
WHERE & HOW? you don’t need to go too far, neither to click around too much. Humobs is just here, exactly here in this space that you are reading through!
The newest issues, events, and resources posted will be announced through our monthly newsletter. Subscribe here to receive our alerts or just remember to visit our homepage from time to time.
WHO? Humobs is also a mental space, a break for reflection, an occasion for comments and discussion, a free joining space, belonging to all those people within our community of friends, colleagues, fellows and supporters that wish to contribute to a better understanding.
THANKS! to all those who have sent suggestions, feedbacks and indications.
Please Keep informing us on any interesting and relevant resources, such as news, events and research output (ex. research papers, publications, policy brief, reportage, videos, photo essay, etc.) you may want to give visibility to and circulate.
We will be happy to receive your opinions and contributions!
Share this space and let’s keep in touch!
