SID Mauritius Chapter

SID Mauritius Chapter, together with MAUDESCO and Friends of the Earth Mauritius, is organizing a series of seminars and workshops on the current Post-Kyoto negotiations. The main focus of the events is on the impacts of climate change on Africa and Small Island States.

The Chapter is also in the process of finalizing a six-months ‘Youth Leadership Training Programme’ which covered issues such as sustainable development, climate change, mitigation, sustainable lifestyle and agriculture, leadership and management of projects.

Finally, the Chapter is carrying out capacity-building and awareness raising activities on the current status of climate negotiations in preparation for the Copenhagen Conference in December.
